Bold Love listen

Give me BOLD love
The type of love that is all encompassing like a hand to a glove
Love that hovers and wraps around
Whose true power has no voice or sound
But presence
Love that weeps when it is shunned
Not because of its own misery
But because someone else’s happiness has come undone
Love that takes on the shape of a lioness when someone opposes her cubs
Ready to rub
Salve over the wounds
Love that is like the moon
And like the light that shines in the dark
I want to leave a love mark
Go out and sleep on cold wet concrete
Wash someone’s feet
All in the name of love
Watch my flesh crawl in embarrassment
Because the love I have makes me circumvent
My comfortable façade
And scream, “LOVE DOES PAY THE RENT!”
Give me BOLD love
Something that makes me speak of
Things I can barely comprehend
Because I want to let others in
On the love I have been given
That has driven
Me on
Love that will speak of me long after I am gone
Love that makes me forget that people may be watching me
‘Cuz I’m so wrapped up in the infallibility
of love
Love that makes me nod with the beat
of its greetings from heaven
Love that makes me pick up my pen
and write rhymes
that throw your head bobbin into triple time
Give me BOLD love
GIVE ME BOLD LOVE
That doesn’t have to be explained
Let my love be so plain
That it flames
and they understand that I’m not here to judge them
But to love them
Until they forget
There was ever something other than love.
