Harvest listen

I’m gonna work till dawn
Writing to spawn
Righteousness
Spreading it east to west
Until it finds a home
Becomes full grown
And spreads its seed again
I’m gonna take my pen
And win
The hearts of the nations
Search generation to generation
For those who will rise up and proclaim
The one thing that will never change
The Everlasting fame of one name
But I’m not going to stop there*
I’ll stare down the throat of death
And challenge him to take my breath
Because it’s the only way I’ll ever stop speaking
Because I’m like water and I’ll always find a crack for leaking
My voice directs my life
And I will make the daily sacrifice
Of praise
So that all of my days
Are spent pursuing the highest good
Nailing precedents to wood
So that his people could
Worship freely
Find that which was ideally
Meant to be
Working to bear the burdens laid upon me
Those that build my character up strongly
So I can make it through the next trial
Smiling all the while walking through the rubbish pile
Throw my garments away
Begin like a babe
Who knows nothing, but possesses everything
Does not understand the notions of losing or winning
But unconditionally trusts
Loves
And
Hugs
And I’m going to shrug off the idea of piety
Because it never really increased my status in society
Only diminished it
And I’m going to spit on the idea of comparison
Because whenever I take one
And show myself better, it’s only a web I’ve spun
Exposing my own foolish deception
So the only thing I know I’m here to do
Is to stand in front of you
And say I love you
And that He does too.
