Prayer Submission

Sometimes I wonder why you made me such a silly little girl,
Why I tend to dissect every detail of my small little world,
Every fiber of my being is drawn into the fray,
Scrutinizing every movement, should I go or should I stay?
I'm certain that I'm uncertain, back and forth, unable to stand,
Because I continually build my house on my mind's sinking sand,
My ways are always fickle,
Heart changing as soon as my flesh is tickled,
Lord, Help me to give you this fight I face today,
To release my will to rule my own life, instead obey,
For your ways are not like mine,
Your truth like a straight and narrow line,
The burden of choosing can be lifted if I let it,
Outcome good or bad, then only to your credit,
Remind me of each little leaf on every large tree,
You fashioned its shape, taking care of every intricacy,
Only you give me my portion and only you maintain my lot,
May I remain here until you move me from this spot,
The burden to decide is not mine to bear,
But as those before me said all my pains and worries are needless when I carry everything to God in prayer.

But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. James 1:6
