Where did Bible Time go?

Long gone are the days of a quiet place,
Long hours at Starbucks spending time face-to-face,
When Bible time wasn't interrupted by one-thousand little things,
"Mommy, will you button this?" or "Mommy, can you fix my fairy wings?"
What starts off in good intention,
Ends in my soul still quenching,
Because 20 minutes of Holy Time half-interrupted,
Isn't near enough time to slough off this old man corrupted,
I rejoice in my little blessings - their budding independence or total inability,
Leaving most of my desires to wait somewhat willingly,
But there's just this one place,
I cannot forsake,
Because it's the life spring where all else comes from,
It determines whether each day I keep it together or come totally undone,
O Savior, Risen from the dead!
I'll trade 30 minutes of struggling for 5 minutes of true fellowship with you instead,
Feed my soul in the time I have,
In my meager offering, the spare moment I chance to nab,
Multiply my patience with my cares and concerns,
Open my ears quickly so I may quickly learn,
Pour into my heart, raise up this weary mother!
Because you are my world, Lord...there is no other.
